Culver City football players sign letters of intent

Greg Goodyear, an assistant football coach at Culver City, told The Times that several Centaurs signed letters of intent on Wednesday.

Antwon Moutra, a 6’ 3’, 190-lb wide receiver, signed with UCLA. He had 74 catches for 1,446 yards and 13 touchdowns last fall and was a first-team All-CIF and first-team All-Ocean League selection.

Quarterback Darius Banks signed with Eastern Washington after being recruited by Oregon, Boise State, Fresno State and Kansas State. Banks threw for 9,356 yards (the fifth highest total in state history) and 104 touchdowns in three varsity seasons.

Terrance Hayward, a 6’ 1’, 188-lb cornerback, signed with Washington State, along with Culver City alum Jessy Sanchez, a 6’ 3’, 265-lb defensive end who played the last two years at West L.A. College.
