The Beverly Hills boys’ basketball team had oodles of disappointment and dissension this season. Players quit, others were ousted and the team tanked quicker than Roger Clemens’ public image, as blogging-bro Sean Ceglinsky pointed out.

But, Sean, there is hope in 90210-land. Yes, with the Lady Normans. Especially after last night when Morgan Mason -- aka the Alliteration Sensation -- scored 27 points and Beverly Hills clipped Claremont in a 68-56 wild-card victory in the Southern Section Division II playoffs.

‘The Bev’ girls (18-9) play at 7:30 Saturday night at Fillmore in the second round. Don’t be surprised if they keep the hope alive and keep winning.

(P.S. Who else misses Dylan, Brenda and the gang? Uh ... I should go now.)
