Bad news for Mater Dei: Drew Gordon is back for Mitty

It looked as if Mater Dei might cruise to the state Division II championship in boys’ basketball, but Archbishop Mitty of San Jose received good news when 6-foot-9 UCLA-bound Drew Gordon returned from a broken foot on Tuesday, so it’s Mitty back in the favorite’s role.
Gordon scored 12 points in a little more than eight minutes of action. He was supposed to be sidelined for the rest of the season.
