Boys’ basketball: Dominguez is the king ... already

How should I put this? King will not be crowned.

Don’t be peeved, Riverside folks. Just speaking my mind.

See, tonight/Saturday the true king will be Dominguez (31-2) which plays Riverside King (32-2) in the Southern California Division I Regional boys’ basketball finals at the Sports Arena at 8 p.m.

Back in January, the Dons schooled the Wolves, 68-60. Since then, Dominguez, the No. 3 ranked team in the country, according to MaxPreps, has been hotter than Death Valley in August, building a 20-game win streak, which includes victories over such titans as Santa Margarita, Mater Dei and Fairfax.

Well, that’s all from me -- I’m off to get a Whopper.
