Christian Yelich, a 6-foot-4 sophomore first baseman from Westlake who leads the team with five home runs, plans to commit to UCLA on Sunday, his father, Stephen, confirmed Friday.

Yelich is considered one of the top young players in the Southland. His father is a UCLA graduate, and his uncle, Chris, is a former UCLA offensive lineman.
