Softball: Caperton decides to bring curtain down on coaching career

Sharen Caperton, in her 24th year as softball coach at Brea Olinda, has announced that she is retiring at the end of season.

Caperton came into the year with a career 312-227 record. The Wildcats (5-8) begin Century League play Tuesday at El Dorado.

Caperton will continue to teach physical education and serve as girls’ athletic director.
