Baseball: Ramirez has a pretty good Knight’s tale

Nick Ramirez’s hard work has paid off with a full ride to Cal State Fullerton, but it also paid off with a nice story in the Orange County Register, which details Ramirez’s work ethic, his college dream and the pull of the major leagues.

The Katella left-handed pitcher/first baseman has had a terrific season so far. He is 6-1 with a 1.45 earned-run average, and a batting average of .408.

Katella is No. 10 in The Times rankings. Its next game is at home against Placentia Valencia on April 30, 3:15 p.m.
