Girls’ diving: McNamara defends her Division I title

Here’s the winner of the Southern Section-Toyota Division I girls’ diving championships. Her name is Haley McNamara and she broke her Mission Viejo school record by scoring 592.05 points Tuesday at the Mission Viejo Aquatics Complex. McNamara, a sophomore, also won the Division I title last season.

Based on the results, it looks as if she nailed a reverse 2 1/2 somersault tuck in the fourth of 11 rounds for her best score of 67.20 points.

Paulina Guzman of Long Beach Millikan was second with 546.35 points and Kelsey Heiken of San Clemente was third with 525.35.
