Softball: Riverside Christian takes early lead

Aided by an error from the Calvary Murrieta shortstop on her throw to first, top-seeded Riverside Christian has taken an early 2-0 lead in the Southern Section-Toyota Division VI final at Barber Park in Irvine.

After the error allowed Krystal Hoham to reach first, Calvary starting pitcher Tory Ferreira hit Amanda Clark to put two runners on. Two batters later, Sterling Hoham’s double gave the Cougars their lead.
