I did a blog about Deuce Johnson back in December, and oddly enough, received an interesting comment on Monday evening stating that the sophomore from Campbell Hall was, supposedly, considering a transfer from the North Hollywood hoops powerhouse.

You can’t believe everything you hear, or read, nowadays, so instead of jumping to any type of conclusion, I figured it would be best to give Vikings coach Terry Kelly and his assistant, Paul Tait, a call and find out what was really going on.

‘Total rumor,’’ Tait said. ‘I talked with Deuce today and he said he had heard about it too and thought it was funny. It’s been pretty quiet around here lately, so it makes sense that someone would start talking about things that weren’t true to shake things up.’’

Johnson is expected to be the next big thing at Campbell Hall. The 6-foot-6 forward has already been contacted by scouts from several Division I programs, quite a few from the PAC-10 Conference. Losing him would be devastating for the Vikings, although it doesn’t look like that’s going to happen.
