At 6-foot-3, 210-plus pounds, Marlion Barnett possesses the size most Division I programs covet in a tight end prospect. His sub 4.7 speed in the 40-yard dash isn’t too bad either. Guess that explains why the scholarship offers are starting to roll in for the junior from Corona Santiago.

Late last week, Washington became the third school to add its name to the waiting list for Barnett, joining the likes of Minnesota and UNLV. Click here to take a look at what he had to say about the Huskies, but keep in mind, a commitment is not expected to be made anytime soon.

He’s already visited Boise St. and there’s plans for trips to Oregon and Oregon St. It should also be noted that Cal, Oklahoma and UCLA are interested in Barnett, who appears well on his way to becoming a hot commodity on the recruiting landscape.
