Celt Fight Night... in pictures

If you’re a hardcore Varsity Times Insider peruser (and you are if you’re still visiting the blog on a daily basis in late June), then you probably already know about last Friday’s Celt Fight Night.
From all accounts, it was one heck of a show and it looks like it was a lot of fun. I’m just bummed out I couldn’t make it out to Pierce College for this annual showdown between what appears to be mostly football players-turned-pugilists.
Crespi big man Karim Williams, who built a reputation as one of the area’s top linemen last fall, delivered a first-round knockout in the main event. Interestingly, he’s flirting with the idea of pursuing boxing over a football scholarship to Grambling. And remember -- he is ‘the 818.’
