You need a GPS device to keep track of the quarterbacks coming and going from Oaks Christian.

The summer started with six quarterbacks seeking the varsity starting job. Three have since left, and Nick Montana, son of NFL Hall of Famer Joe Montana, has arrived from Concord De La Salle, so there’s more change coming.

It’s almost laughable to see the maneuvering under way. Senior Anthony Vitto, who left the Oaks Christian team in the middle of the Saugus tournament, has transferred to Chaminade, and his new coach, Anthony Harris, is thrilled.

‘He’s the starter now,’ Harris said.

Nick Isham, a sophomore who left Chaminade for Oaks Christian in June, has left Oaks Christian and is searching for a new school. His old coach at Chaminade would welcome him back, but he could end up at Westlake.

Jake Gerringer, the starter for Oaks Christian’s JV team last season, has left school and is expected to transfer to Newbury Park.

Meanwhile, St. Bonaventure transfer Tony Macarena is the last one staying and is trying to hold off Montana for the starting job at Oaks Christian. He was St. Bonaventure’s starter until being replaced late in the season by Casey Serna, causing him to head to Oaks Christian.

At least there are no boring moments around Oaks Christian these days.
