Ryan Kasdorf, a junior quarterback who led the Sherman Oaks Notre Dame sophomore team to a 10-0 record last season, won the varsity starting job Saturday when he led the Knights to the championship of the Pasadena tournament, defeating St. Bonaventure in the final.

Kasdorf had been involved in a three-way competition for the starting job. Another quarterback recently quit the team. Helping the Knights on Saturday with strong play were receiver Chris McNeill and linebacker Jordan Barrett.
