One of the reasons I’ve pegged Oxnard to win a second consecutive Pacific View League title this fall is because it still has QB Dasmen Stewart.

You remember Stewart, right? The 6-foot-4 205-pounder is one of the best all-around offensive players in the region, and I’m not the only one who’s noticed his talents.

According to Scout.com
, Stewart has committed to San Jose State, where he plans to show off the mad skills that helped him gobble up 1,778 yards of total offense in 2007.

Of course, the Yellowjackets’ biggest stinger is poised to make an even bigger impact this season. The defending league MVP passed for 1,157 yards and nine TDs as a junior and will play a central role in Oxnard’s quest for respectability in the highly competitive Northern Division.
