Baseball: Valencia’s Dylan Jones commits to Oregon

Valencia senior outfielder Dylan Jones, who batted a team-best .466 last spring, has committed to the University of Oregon, according to the Signal.

Jones, along with former teammate Robbie Mousselli, played a key role in the Vikings’ 22-8 campaign last spring. He finished with 22 RBIs and 33 runs scored for the Vikings, who finished second behind Hart in the Foothill League title race.

Jones is considered one of the region’s top hitters and, along with talented sophomore shortstop Christian Lopes, should make the Vikings a team to watch in next year’s Division I playoffs.
