Boron Principal Paul Kostopoulos said the condition of gravely injured football player Vinnie Rodriguez remained unchanged as of Tuesday afternoon.

Rodriguez was in critical condition after suffering seizures as the result of an apparent head injury Friday during the Bobcats’ game against Riverside California School for the Deaf.

Boron is holding a $6-a-plate spaghetti dinner in the school cafeteria from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday to raise funds for Rodriguez’s grandmother, who is the guardian of the Boron player and his three younger brothers.

Information about a relief fund set up at the AltaOne Credit Union can be obtained by calling (760) 762-5492. Contributions will go to help the family with medical, rehabilitation and travel costs.
