Football: Funeral set for ex-San Fernando player

A funeral for former San Fernando running back, coach and teacher Dwight Chapman will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at the Greater Community Church in Pacoima, 11066 Norris Avenue. A viewing will take place Thursday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Rucker’s Mortuary in Pacoima.
Chapman died last Friday. He was 55. He coached the freshman-sophomore team at San Fernando last season and was an All-City player on the 1970 San Fernando team that reached the City title game.
