Baseball: Drootin takes Golden Valley job

Former Newbury Park coach Scott Drootin said Sunday he has accepted the position of head coach at Golden Valley in the Santa Clarita Valley.

It’s bad news for those who thought Drootin would be a good fit for the vacant position at Taft, which he interviewed for.
