Football: Serra leads Taft, 14-7

Gardena Serra has stopped Taft twice on fourth down to open a 14-7 halftime lead.

D.J. Morgan, Taft’s USC-bound running back, has been limited to 20 yards in eight carries.

Serra quarterback Ted Landers has fumbled twice but he also has a 15-yard touchdown pass to Robert Woods.

Taft has stayed close thanks to a 62-yard touchdown reception by Jarrett Tryon at the end of the second quarter.
