Carson tight end Morrell Presley will be sidelined for at least two weeks after suffering a hairline fracture in one of his wrists, Carson Coach Michael Christensen said. The USC-bound star suffered the injury after making a catch in the second quarter of the Colts’ 6-5 loss to San Pedro on Friday.

‘You never want this to happen, but we’ll be alright,’ Christensen said. ‘Actually, it might be a blessing in disguise because it’ll force other guys to step forward and make plays. Sometimes they rely on him too much.’

Christensen said they would re-evaluate Presley’s injury after two weeks and said he would be back for the playoffs at the very latest.

The 6-foot-3 Presley is considered the top tight end prospect in the nation by Scout.com, and is Carson’s top receiver.
