Basketball: Nike Extravaganza packed with top teams

The Nike Extravaganza is set for Feb. 6 and 7 at Mater Dei High, and there’s no lacking of top basketball teams in the boys’ bracket.

Here’s the Saturday, Feb. 7 schedule: 8 a.m., Colony vs. Sonora; 9:30 a.m., Servite vs. Los Alamitos, 11 a.m., Santa Margarita vs. Troy, 12:30 p.m., Riverside King vs. Ocean View; 2 p.m., Orange Lutheran vs. Campbell Hall; 4 p.m., Westchester vs. Rainer Beach (Seattle); 5:30 p.m., Fairfax vs. Whitney Young (Chicago); 7 p.m., Dominguez vs Concord De La Salle; 9 p.m., Mater Dei vs. St. Benedict’s (New Jersey.

Here’s the Feb. 6 schedule for girls’: 3 p.m., St. Paul vs. Dana Hills; 4:30 p.m., Santa Margarita vs. Villa Park; 6 p.m. Foothill vs. L.B. Wilson; 7:30 p.m., Mater Dei vs Cajon. At 9 p.m., JSerra’s boys’ team will play Dos Pueblos.

General admission tickets for the Friday session will be $10. Tickets Saturday for the morning session will be $12 and for the evening session $12. Reserve tickets will go for $22.
