In 1979 and 1980, running back Michael Alo was the City Section 4-A football player of the year at Banning. He went on to USC. Now his nephew, Justin Alo, a sophomore quarterback, has taken over as the starter at Carson, and the Colts think they are ready to take on Narbonne Friday night in a Marine League title showdown at Carson.

Alo has started the last two games. Daniel Torres, the previous starter, was moved to fullback in a bid to help the offense. Carson (5-4, 3-1) is the underdog to Narbonne (8-1, 4-0), but the Colts could be ready to pull off an upset if the offense has picked up some firepower with Alo in charge.
