Football: Mater Dei punts on first drive

Mater Dei took the opening kickoff and moved into Orange Lutheran territory on its first drive before having to punt. Jaron Hytche gained 32 yards in six carries but quarterback Matt Barkley wasn’t impressive, completing one of four passes.

Orange Lutheran takes over on its own 14-yard line.
