Football: Narbonne leads, 35-14, at halftime

Birmingham held its own in the second quarter of its City Section Championship Division quarterfinal against Narbonne.

Unfortunately for the Patriots, they entered the quarter trailing, 21-0, after losing a pair of fumbles. And so Narbonne holds a 35-14 halftime lead after scoring touchdowns on five of six first-half possessions.

Running back Chris Ervin has rushed for 65 yards and a touchdown in seven carries and quarterback Josh Moten has completed nine of 11 passes for 134 yards and run for 63 yards and a touchdown for Narbonne.

Birmingham quarterback Morey Croson has completed six of 12 passes for 69 yards and running back Tajuan Briggs has rushed for 66 yards and two touchdowns in 10 carries. Receiver De’Von Flournoy has made only two catches for 20 yards.
