I could have flown to Chicago by the time it took me to drive from Westwood to Temecula for tonight’s Inland Division championship between Corona Centennial and host Chaparral.

I am standing on the roof of the press box typing with my laptop perched on an aluminum bench. The game is sold out and it’s standing-room only, with an electric atmosphere. Let’s hope the game can match the electricity.
