Football: La Habra pulls away from Tustin

Tustin, which had been averaging 42 points in the playoffs, finally met a defense up to the challenge Saturday in its Southwest Division championship game against La Habra.

The Highlanders shut out the Tillers in the second half of a 26-14 victory in which Ronnie Hillman scored on two long touchdown runs to break a 14-14 deadlock.

Hillman scored on a 54-yard run with 1 minute 56 seconds left in the third quarter and on a 43-yard run with 5:22 left in the game for La Habra (11-2). Hillman finished with 96 yards in five carries.

Anthony Wilkerson rushed for 204 yards and a touchdown in 37 carries for Tustin (9-4).
