SACRAMENTO--Brea Olinda cruised to its first state title since 2000 and ninth overall with a 68-45 victory over Carondelet tonight in the Division II championship at Arco Arena.

Junior guard Kelsey Harris finished with 25 points for Brea (33-2) before fouling out midway through the fourth quarter. Sophomore forward Justine Hartman scored eight of her 10 points in the fourth quarter.

Carondelet (29-4) closed to within 15 points early in the fourth quarter after outscoring the Ladycats, 13-4, but Brea scored eight of the next 11 points to regain control.

Southern California teams are three for three against their Northern California counterparts so far in state title games. But Eisenhower faces a decided home-court disadvantage in the Division II boys’ game up next because Rocklin’s fans are taking up most of the lower bowl at Arco.
