Girls’ basketball: Cajon lands pair on CalHiSports.com first team

Cajon’s Darshae Burnside and Layshia Clarendon were among the 10 players selected to the CalHiSports.com all-state first team released today. The other local selections were Gennifer Brandon of Chatsworth, Jonae Ervin of Brea Olinda, Christina Marinacci of Foothill, Kaleena Mosqueda-Lewis of Mater Dei and Monique Oliver of Long Beach Poly.

Selected to the second team were Camille Buckley of Colony, Talia Caldwell of Marlborough, Eliza Pierre of Muir, Kendall Rodriguez of Brea Olinda, Cierra Windham of Norco and Melissa Zornig of Santa Margarita.

The third team included Shelley Gupilan of Bell-Jeff, Kaitlyn Peterson of Mission Viejo and Brittany Wilson of Long Beach Poly.
