Boys’ basketball: Campbell Hall hires Wachs

Steve Wachs, a former assistant coach at Loyola Marymount and Cal Poly Pomona, has been hired as the boys’ basketball coach at North Hollywood Campbell Hall. He replaces Terry Kelly, who resigned.

Wachs coached at Brentwood last season. Athletic Director Juan Velazquez insisted Friday that Woodland Hills Taft Coach Derrick Taylor was not offered the job.
