In another recruiting coup involving Arizona State and top Southland basketball players, the Sun Devils have received a commitment from Brea Olinda sophomore big man Kyle Caudill.

Coach Herb Sendek and his predecessor, Rob Evans, have done an excellent job of mining top talent from Southern California in recent years. Arizona State got Etiwanda’s Jeff Pendergraph and Artesia’s James Harden and Derek Glasser.

In the 6-foot-11 Caudill, the Sun Devils are getting a player who averaged 16.3 points and 12.0 rebounds while shooting 55% as a sophomore. He’s got tremendous upside and will most likely be a 7-footer by the time he reaches college.
