Swimming: Cleveland girls stroke into the lead at City finals

Cleveland has taken a three-point lead over Palisades in the girls’ team competition with three varsity events remaining at the City Section Swim Championships in Los Angeles.

The Cavaliers have 193 1/2 points to the Dolphins’ 190 1/2.

San Pedro is still leading the boys’ meet. The Pirates (126 points) have opened a 15-point advantage on Birmingham, with Venice (109) surging into third and Cleveland (107) dropping to fourth.
