This is when you know Southern California has some fast runners: when every entrant in an event at the Masters Meet qualifies for the state meet.

That’s exactly what happened in the girls’ 4x100 meter relay, the first running event this evening at Cerritos College. Rancho Verde won going away in 45.81 seconds, but every other relay team--Trabuco Hills, Vista Murrieta, Paraclete, Serra, St. Mary’s Academy, Long Beach Poly, Long Beach Wilson and Rio Mesa--also advanced to next week’s state meet at Clovis Buchanan High because they met the qualifying time.
