Baseball: Capistrano Valley is three outs from Angel Stadium

After six innings of the Southern Section Division I semifinal at Blair Field, Capistrano Valley is holding a 1-0 lead over Riverside Poly.

The Cougars’ only run came in the first inning on a Tyler Matzek RBI single. Matzek has Capistrano Valley’s other hit in the game, a double in the sixth. Matzek has allowed one hit. Riverside Poly pitcher Dylan Stuart has allowed two hits.

The winner advances to Saturday’s 7:30 p.m. final at Angel Stadium.
