Girls’ track: Highland’s Davis triumphs in 100 meters

Highland junior Jessica Davis won her heat and posted the fastest time in the girls’ 100 preliminaries this evening, finishing in 11.62 seconds.

Rio Mesa’s Valexsia Droughn was third in 11.72 and Rancho Verde’s Asiah Gooden fourth in 11.73. Paraclete’s Melanise Chapman also qualified for Saturday’s championship with a time of 11.91.
