Girls’ track: Long Beach Poly’s Ndipagbor wins 400 meters

Long Beach Poly sophomore Akawkaw Ndipagbor posted the fastest time today in the girls’ 400 meters, winning in 43.46 seconds. Gardena Serra’s Turquoise Thompson was third in 54.20 and Woodbridge’s Gabrielle Scott was fourth in 55.28.

Also qualifying for Saturday’s championship from the Southland were Etiwanda’s Vanessa Jones (54.82), Rancho Verde’s Gabby Estell (55.60), Silverado’s Shawna Fermin (55.62) and San Clemente’s Christina Twicken (55.90).
