Baseball: San Dimas wins Division IV title at Angel Stadium

San Dimas (24-5) won its second baseball title in school history Saturday, using a four-run fifth inning to defeat Torrance, 4-2, in the Division IV final at Angel Stadium.

Erik Salcido came into the game on the mound in the sixth inning and picked up the save. Kevin Ponzo allowed two hits in five innings to pick up the victory.

The Saints trailed, 2-0, until getting six hits in the fifth inning off Andrew Pulido (13-1), including consecutive RBI singles by Josh Leyland, Ponzo and Matt Thrall.

Torrance finished 25-8.
