Boys’ track: Youthful Crenshaw will be back in 4x100 relay

With two sophomores and two juniors on its 4x100 relay team, Crenshaw is just getting started.

‘This is the beginning,’ said junior Gregory Ducre, part of the team that finished sixth in the championship today. ‘We’re going to get the title next year.’

The others on the squad are sophomores DeAnthony Thomas and Dayvon Allen and junior Jonathan Downard.

Coach David Frierson said being on the winner’s podium with all the top six finishers will pay dividends down the road.

‘Next year they’ll remember,’ Frierson said. ‘They won’t want to not be there.’
