There are two boys’ basketball tournaments not to miss this summer.

The Crespi summer shootout on June 20 and 21 includes five league championship teams _ Santa Ana Mater Dei, Los Angeles Loyola, Huntington Beach Ocean View, Los Alamitos and Thousand Oaks.

Mater Dei plays Thousand Oaks on June 20 at 1:30 p.m. and Loyola at 4:30 p.m. Ocean View, expected to be one of the top teams in the Southland, faces Crespi at 6 p.m. and takes on Simi Valley on June 21 at 10:30 a.m.

Then there’s the Fairfax summer basketball classic set for June 23-28 at Fairfax. Westchester, Gardena Serra, Long Beach Poly, North Hollywood Harvard-Westlake, Mater Dei, Loyola, Woodland Hills Taft, Orange Lutheran, North Hollywood Campbell Hall and Lawndale Leuzinger are among the teams entered.

The best opening-game matchup is Taft facing Orange Lutheran at 7 p.m. on June 23.

Another summer tournament is the War on the Floor at Taft, El Camino Real and Cleveland that will take place June 20-24. Taft, Pasadena, Campbell Hall and Cleveland are the top teams.
