Basketball: War on the Floor games later today

There will be two battles staged later today at Taft High in the War on the Floor/Future Stars game for top junior boys’ and girls’ basketball players from the San Fernando Valley.

The boys’ game, which tips off at 6:30 p.m., features Taft’s Pierson Williams and Sam Natt on the West team against an East team that includes Jason Johnson of Cleveland.

The girls’ game, scheduled for a 4:45 p.m. tip, includes Destinee Sellers and Monica Jackson of Chatsworth playing for the West and Crescenta Valley’s Cassie Pappas playing for the East.
