Baseball: Hobgood, Matzek share top honors in Division I

Norco’s Matt Hobgood and Mission Viejo Capistrano Valley’s Tyler Matzek have been selected co-players of the year in Southern Section Division I by the coaches. They top the All-Southern Section teams presented by the LA84 Foundation. The complete teams are here.

Other players of the year include Ryon Healy of Encino Crespi in Division II, Derek Klena of West Covina South Hills in Division III, Josh Leyland of San Dimas in Division IV, Dylan Covey of Pasadena Maranatha in Division V, Cameron Bedard of Cypress Oxford Academy in Division VI and Aaron Roth of Camarillo Cornerstone Christian in Division VII.
