It was not a good first half for City Section representative L.A. Jordan, which trails Anaheim Esperanza, 21-6, at halftime at Placentia Valencia.

The Bulldogs’ offense struggled for much of the half. At the same time, Esperanza was able to move the ball behind quarterback Drew Huusfeldt, who ran 12 yards for a touchdown and passed 62 yards to Hayden Pierce for another touchdown.

Jordan’s only score is a 12-yard touchdown reception by De’Shawn Beck from Jackyle Cooper.

This is an important game for Jordan because it must play Ventura St. Bonaventure and Santa Ana Mater Dei in the coming weeks.
