Senior quarterback Drew Huusfeldt passed for two touchdowns and ran for another in Anaheim Esperanza’s 51-12 victory over Los Angeles Jordan on Thursday night at Placentia Valencia.

Running back Dustin Derieg added two touchdowns for Esperanza (1-1), which led, 21-6, at halftime despite losing the ball on a fumble near the goal line at the end of the half.

What a difference a week makes. Last week, Esperanza was beaten by Corona Santiago, 35-3. Jordan defeated Locke, 25-0.

But Jordan was outmatched from start to finish on both sides of the ball. Huusfeldt ran 12 yards for a touchdown and passed 62 yards to Hayden Pierce and eight yards to Ryan Cooper.

The loss means trouble for Jordan, which still has nonleague games against Ventura St. Bonaventure and Santa Ana Mater Dei.

De’Shawn Beck caught a 12-yard touchdown pass from Jackyle Cooper, who also scored on a run.
