Football: What’s with the basketball score?

There are basketball games that don’t produce as many points as the football game Friday night between Culver City and Inglewood.

When it was finally over, Culver City came away with a 55-44 victory over Inglewood in an Ocean League game.

One of the best quarterbacks in Southern California this season has been Marquel Carter of Culver City. He set a school record against Redondo with 532 yards passing. Against Inglewood, he passed for 219 yards.

Inglewood quarterback Shashaun Alexander passed for 346 yards.

That brings up the question, what happened to the pass defense?
