Are there any administrators left at Marmonte League schools today? It seems as if the Marmonte League has come out en masse for today’s vote on whether Westlake Village Oaks Christian will be put into the league for all sports, football only or not at all.

The vote is set for later this morning in Long Beach. There are Marmonte principals, coaches, athletic directors and even Jeff Davis, the director of secondary education for the Conejo Valley Unified School District.

There’s lots of backroom talk going on. And how intense is the lobbying? Well, Howard Abams, an assistant athletic director at Van Nuys Montclair Prep, said he received a recorded call from a Calabasas tennis parent asking him to support a proposal to keep Calabasas in the Marmonte League
