Football: La Mirada ends another streak

This is the season streaks are coming to an end, and La Mirada was the latest team to be a streakbuster, ending the 52-game Suburban League win streak of Lakewood Mayfair, 42-12, on Friday night.

Mayfair had won eight consecutive league titles. La Mirada (6-1, 3-0) was led by quarterback Daniel Poncedeleon, who completed 19 of 24 passes for 173 yards.
