Football: Middlebrooks goes 58 yards for F.V.

Kyle Middlebrooks, one of the fastest running backs in the Southland, took his first handoff and ran 58 yards for a touchdown to give Fountain Valley a 7-0 lead over Los Alamitos with 7:50 left in the first quarter.
Los Alamitos was stopped on its opening drive. The Griffins gave the ball seven consecutive times to Nick Richardson before the drive was halted on the Fountain Valley 43. After a one-yard punt, Fountain Valley gave the ball to Middlebrooks.
