Jay Anderson’s third touchdown of the night, a one-yard plunge, has given Bishop Amat a 21-14 lead over Mater Dei with 10 seconds left in the third quarter.
Bishop Amat’s Martin Sandoval recovered a fumbled punt and returned it to the Mater Dei 35. Quarterback Jerry McClanahan completed a 21-yard pass to Zachary Shay on third-and-18 from the 44 to keep the drive alive. Anderson gained two yards on a fourth-and-inches situation from the 13.
