Bishop Amat has suddenly surged into the lead after driving 71 yards on its first possession of the third quarter, with the big play coming when quarterback Jerry McClanahan hooked up with Darien Johnson on a 50-yard completion to the Lakewood 21-yard line.

Jay Anderson eventually dove into the end zone from one yard out to give Bishop Amat a 17-13 lead early in the third quarter. Bishop Amat fans are yelling, ‘Chop that wood!’
