Santa Monica and Summit -- fourth and fifth in The Times’ Southland rankings, respectively -- will face off today at 2:45 p.m. at the Ladycat Classic at Brea Olinda.

Summit is equipped with senior guard Adrianne Thomas, who is headed to Arizona State, and Denver-bound forward Maiya Michel. Coach Alexis Barile said that Thomas should average 20 to 30 points per game this season.

Santa Monica has UCLA-bound point guard Thea Lemberger and a slew of talent, including two tall junior transfers from Arizona, Bianka Balthazar and Moriah Faulk.

Today’s schedule includes Oakridge-Narbonne at 4:30 p.m., Hanford-Keppel at 5:15 p.m. and JSerra-Fairfax at 8 p.m.
